Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (DCCI) of the University of Genoa is the Italian institution that produces the largest number of scientific papers related to phase diagrams.

In DCCI two main groups are involved in phase diagram research:

A second Italian institution involved in phase diagram studies, also situated in Genova, is CNR-ICMATE. Fruitful collaborations between DCCI and CNR-ICMATE have been enjoyed for many years.

Other Institutions occasionally involved in phase diagram studies are:

  • Department of Applied Science and Technology, Polytechic of Torino
  • Department of Chemistry, University of Torino
  • Chemistry Department, University of Rome

As for the industrial world, several Italian Companies are interested in phase diagrams, but only a few are research active in the field. Among them is ANSALDO ENERGIA, winner of the APDIC INDUSTRIAL AWARD in 2015.

Currently, the Italian representative to APDIC is Gabriele Cacciamani (DCCI, Genova)
