APDIC Awards & Committees
In order to promote the activities of phase diagram related work, APDIC awards the BPA - Best Paper Award , each year to the authors of that judged to be the best publication in the field of phase equilibria and thermodynamics published in the previous year.
The APDIC Industrial Award acknowledges achievements of industries resulting from the use of phase diagrams and thermodynamics.The aim of the Industrial Award is to raise the awareness of the economic, societal and technological benefits from the application of knowledge in phase diagrams in an Industrial context. Be it with respect to production or Research and Development, knowledge of phase diagrams can lead to innovation giving a technological/economic edge with subsequent benefits to society as a whole.
The APDIC Industrial Award is presented to the organisation who, in the opinion of the Industrial Awards Committee, has shown the application of phase diagrams and/or computational thermodynamics in their production and research and development. The Award is presented annually.
